Strengthen the Argument

Each passage presents an argument: some evidence, then a conclusion. The right answer is the one that, if true, makes the conclusion more likely — usually by supporting a hidden assumption, ruling out an alternative explanation, or supplying a missing link.

How to work: find the conclusion, find the gap between evidence and conclusion, then pick the choice that closes that gap. Watch for traps that weaken the argument, restate a premise, or are simply out of scope. Answer all ten, then press Submit to see your score and full explanations.
