The prepositions in, on and at appear in many fixed expressions beyond simple time and place — weather conditions, media, moods, activities and measurements. Because these are fixed phrases, the most effective approach is to learn them as complete units.

Les prépositions in, on et at apparaissent dans de nombreuses expressions fixes au-delà du temps et du lieu — conditions météo, médias, humeurs, activités et mesures. Ces expressions étant fixes, la méthode la plus efficace est de les apprendre comme des unités complètes.

💡
Never say “according to my opinion” — this is a very common learner error. The correct phrase is always in my opinion. Also: a film in French (the language used) vs a film with French subtitles. Ne dites jamais « according to my opinion » — c’est une erreur très fréquente. La formule correcte est toujours in my opinion.
